Horror Story Reflection
Normally in a reflection, I would begin to explain how I took my photos for the assignment and how I positioned them, but every photo that I had taken was lost and I used these to replace them. The first photo is one of the original ones that I did not loose. The story that I was assigned was called "Strings" and it was about a family moving into a new house with an attic filled with marionettes and puppets from the previous owner that hung himself with his puppets strings. In the end, the family lies in the attic as one of those puppets they had found in the beginning. What was weird about the assignment was that I had just moved into a new house like the family in the story. I think the new photos that I had found are successful for this project because although they weren't the photos that I had in mind, they fit the story nicely. After finding photos, I manipulated them in iphoto by putting them all in black and white and switching around the contrast. For the fourth photo, I took out our faces and the background to exaggerate that the photograph was supposed to be "spooky." Most of these photos were realistic, I didn't have any real marionettes or puppets. This assignment was fun when I was taking my original pictures, and it was also fun projecting them to the class. I wouldn't change anything about this project.
